![]() ![]() Remember that your factories also give bonuses to nearby ones. Try to get at least two bonuses for each factory you place - that way they will actually start to give you something, instead of prolonging your suffering. ![]() After you find more crew, so that the total number would be around 80-100 - you can basically only use waste water/CO2 with occasional sprinkle of hydrogen or oxygen (you'll have plenty of oxygen if you get ~2 CO2 scrubbers). Hydrogen is the most efficient, thus the suggestion to use it in particular. Remember that resources DO NOT have the same efficiency when being used as fuel. After that you will more than likely find some more resources to use. After you used hydrogen like in the previous point - you will accumulate enough waste water and CO2, to move with the fastest speed a couple times more. 20 units are usually needed for random crates of resources that can net you 60 more hydrogen, for instance. At the start you can freely use hydrogen for the fastest movement till you have around 20 units. Don't be afraid to spend more resources to get places sooner. Otherwise it's more beneficial to jump to hulls and explore them. If you have 71 hours - you better get some in the next 1-2 jumps. ![]() Like if you have 3 days of water - it's ok. Personally I only go for pure resources when it's not "days" till I run out of them. The resources you will get will usually offset the increased cost due to more mass. Jump to a hull piece, connect it, set it to be auto-explored, jump to the next destination. Bio Something Thingy - This one I also only got one working one of so I don't remember it well, but it produced hydrogen so if you're using the calorie synthesizers these are a necessity, and you need probably 2 or 3 for just one synthesizer.I think it needed organics, which are thankfully produced at the water treatment plant. From my playthrough this is worth whatever the price of entry is. Hydroponics - I only found one so I don't remember the full resource list, just that it produces a decent quantity of food.So getting this before CO2 Scrubber means you'll be running out of resources, but getting both set up should mostly take care of Oxygen and Water needs. Water Treatment Plant - Like CO2 Scrubber it mainly takes waste water, but also needs Carbon.I had 3 on my ship and kept them off most of the time. Calorie Synthesizer - Produces food among other things, which is one of the hardest resources to acquire, but uses Hydrogen in stupid quantities. One of these with a crew working it when available will completely take care of oxygen needs CO2 Scrubber - Really nice in that it only takes CO2 and makes Oxygen and Carbon. That run did give me some insight into the industry though: I'll avoid spoilers, but I'll say you need to be well stocked before pursuing the end because at one point the game kinda forces you to go for it before you expect, so that kinda sucked. I tried rushing the important destination and eventually lead to finding the "end" event chain. ![]()
